The macrame earrings: a tale of two countries
These beautiful, bold earrings are the latest addition to my
jewelry collection. They are made in Bangkok, a big metropolis in Thailand by
a group of skilled female artisans who have been facing tough situations in life
and have struggled with unemployment.
Kanya, the eldest woman of the group has
been fighting to find safe employment for young women from problematic neighborhoods who often have to choose between indigence and prostitution. When you buy my
macrame earrings you are helping a group of woman make a living and live a
normal, safe life in complicated area where no one wants to see, appreciate and
cultivate their talents.
The designs are mine and they match my creations
perfectly. The earrings are lead and nickel free. You can pick between in 80 colors and get a pair of earrings in
your favorite ones!
